HEMS Students Win Big at State Robotics Competition

Saturday, January 23, 2022,  5 HEMS students competed at the FIRST LEGO League State Championship.  All 5 students (representing two different FLL teams) placed for awards and one team was chosen to move on to represent the state of Louisiana in an International competition this May.

Awards Listing:

The following members of the Bayou Builders Team 4043, received 1st place for Robot Performance with the best scoring/performing robot in the state and were finalists for the Core Values Award.  They will advance to represent Louisiana at an International robotics competition in May.

The following member of Beauty and Brains Robotics received the Finalist Award for Robot Design.

The following HEMS students qualified for the FLL Robotics State Championship this past Sunday at the LSU Qualifier.
Brooklyn Warner (7th) is a member of the robotics team, Beauty and Brains.  Her team won the Champions' Award.
Ava Adu (5th), Regina Adu (8th), Vince Delaney (8th) and Jillian Williams (8th) are members of the robotics team, the Bayou Builders.  Their team won the 1st place Robot Performance Award.  They currently have the highest scoring FLL robot throughout the State.
