New process

Under Louisiana House Bill 232, schools and school districts are no longer responsible for issuing, approving, or maintaining work permits for minor employees. Parental or legal guardian authorization is still required. Employers are now responsible for collecting that authorization, verifying the minor’s age, and maintaining the required documentation.
